Part A

Desired Results for my Innovation Plan:

​

  • The result I want to achieve is to increase student engagement and course performance by 10% in the next 3 months through the use of interactive videos in our online learning environment. 

  • I will use student feedback surveys, engagement metrics from the interactive videos, and course performance data to measure if I am on track. 

  • This effort will involve myself as the instructional designer, my team of educators, and our students.

  • We will review progress on a weekly basis to ensure we are moving towards our goal with a sense of urgency.

​Vital Behaviors:

  1. Utilizing Adobe Captivate: This behavior involves regularly using Adobe Captivate to create and enhance interactive videos for our courses. It’s recognizable when team members are actively using the tool and repeatable as it becomes part of our course development process.

  2. Collecting and Applying Feedback: This involves regularly collecting feedback from students and applying it to improve the interactive elements in our courses. It’s recognizable when surveys are sent out and changes are made based on the feedback, and it’s repeatable with each course iteration.

  3. Promoting Interactivity: This involves consistently promoting the use of interactive elements in our courses among team members. It’s recognizable when team members are advocating for and implementing interactivity, and it’s repeatable as it becomes part of our team culture.

Credibility of Vital Behaviors:

  • Each of these behaviors directly contributes to the desired result of enhancing student engagement and learning effectiveness.

  • They are all actionable behaviors that team members can adopt and repeat.

  • They are all within our team’s control and do not rely on external factors.

Organizational Influencers:

  • Our organizational influencers include the team leaders who can advocate for the use of interactive videos, the educators who will implement them in their courses, and the students whose feedback will guide our improvements. These influencers play a crucial role in driving the adoption and success of our innovation plan.
